The Day That Made Me Smile.

Some days you can conquer the world, and other days the world just conquers you.

I bet you remember those bad days you couldn’t wait to be over.

The days you still complain about, wondering how you could have changed them. The ones you replay over and over in your head. And reading this probably made you think back to them again.

It’s hard sometimes to remember the good when it feels like everything is falling apart. We remember so easily how bad it felt and how much it stuck with us. We might dwell on it or even be completely changed by what happened.

But what about those moments and days that were good, or even great? Something that a still makes you smile a little.

The moment or day you think back that makes you smile and feel a little proud or warm and fuzzy.

Was it finding love? Holding your baby or grand baby for the first time. Making someone laugh, or someone making you laugh. A goal you hit. A promotion or a raise?

Or maybe it was just a moment that only you could call good.

The day that made you smile the most. The one where you looked back and thought, yeah… this was a good day.

You didn’t think about that right away, did you?

But while you reading this, did something come to you? I hope so. And I hope you carry it with you into the new year.

Bad days, weeks, and even years are sadly going to happen. But those hard days make the good moments, no matter how far and few between, that much sweeter.

My moment? Well, I tend to look for the good over the bad. But for me, it was simple, and mundane to most. It was typing The End on my book.

That day, I conquered it.

Thank you for being here and taking time to read my work. This website has done better than I ever imagined in its first year, and it is because of you.

There is more to come…
